Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a physio?

You don’t need a referral if you are seeing us as a private patient. However, if you’re claiming via DVA, WorkCover, through Medicare or any other type of insurance you will need a current referral.

  • Do you accept WorkCover (or workplace injury claims)?

Yes — we accept WorkCover / workplace injury claims. You’ll need a valid claim number and a current medical certificate. If the claim isn’t accepted yet, you may need to pay up front and then submit the receipt once approved. If your claim is from outside of Queensland, you may be required to pay for the appointment & claim it back with your relevant insurance company.

  • Are private health rebates accepted / processed at the clinic?

Yes. If you have private health cover, bring your card to your appointment and we can process the rebate via HICAPS so you only pay the gap.

  • What if I forget my health fund card?

If you don’t bring your card, we can’t manually enter it later. You’ll need to pay in full on the day and submit your receipt to your health fund for reimbursement. Lots of health funds now have a digital card that you pay be able to use if you don’t have access to your physical card.

  • I have a Medicare referral from my doctor; do I still have to pay?

Yes. All appointments are to be paid in full at the time of consultation & the Medicare rebate (currently $61.80) can be claimed on the spot with an eligible debit card or processed online to be reimbursed into your bank account registered with Medicare.

  • If I see a different practitioner in your team, will they know my history?

Yes. All patient records and treatment notes are documented and shared within our team, so whoever sees you can continue your treatment seamlessly.

  • What should I bring to my appointment?

    • Any relevant referrals or claim details (NDIS, WorkCover, DVA)
    • Any medical imaging reports (X-ray, MRI, CT scans)
    • Comfortable clothing
    • For classes or hydrotherapy: towel, swimmers, water bottle
  • How much does an appointment cost?

Initial private appointments start from $105 & follow ups from $90 but these prices may vary depending on the appointment length & type. Please speak to our friendly team for accurate pricing. We also offer concession discounts where applicable.

  • Do you run group classes, and how much do they cost?

Yes — we offer Hydrotherapy classes and Seniors Exercise classes.

    • Hydrotherapy classes: $15/class or $120 for ten classes +your pool entry
    • Seniors Exercise class: $5 per session
  • When are hydrotherapy classes held?
